This bootcamp is formulated for workers about to plant, those already in the church planting process, those who have just arrived in Japan, Japanese Christians who want to build God’s church, pastors, church planters, those planning or planting daughter churches, those coaching people in church planting.  In short, anyone interested or engaged in church planting and multiplication. Church Planting & Development A to Z

The bootcamp is a broad overview of the church planting process.

Tentative Session Topics:

1. What is God’s vision for His church in Japan?  What has God called me to do? VISION

1. What models work in Japan for church planting and reproduction? Model
2. Who am I trying to reach?  Understanding Japanese. TARGET GROUP
3. How will I go about reaching these people?  Methodology and Strategy
4. How do I evangelize Japanese? EVANGELISM
5. How do I disciple believers? DISCIPLESHIP
6. How do I develop small group ministries? COMMUNITY
7. How do I train others and mobilize people? MOBILIZING LEADERS
8. How do I keep from falling apart and keep on task?  private world

* This is a Japanese & English training event.

* This is a NATIONAL BOOTCAMP.  People are encouraged to come from anywhere in Japan.

Affordable! Registration fee 8,000 yen includes (2 lunches, 2 dinners); Discounts (up to 3,000) (early payment, partner discount [bring your spouse or team members], JEMA member discount). Plus limited onsite housing for two nights (includes two breakfasts) 3,600 per person (More expensive offsite housing is also available). Total costs with all discounts and onsite housing only 8,600 yen for 2 nights and all meals!

“Cross-Cultural Connections” by Duane Elmer. Many of the problems encountered in ministry in Japan are due to a failure to recognize cultural differences and different ways of viewing the world. This book speaks to basic principles of effective cross cultural communication. 1,300 yen.

Cell Church Summit 2010

& the CPI Kansai Regional Meeting

Feb 10 (Weds – 1:30pm) – Feb 12 (Fri -noon) 2010 ANA Gate Tower Hotel Osaka (10 min. from KIX).

THEME: The Essence is Our Focus – The time has come for the church to restore her original function and fulfill her mission.  Although the models of the church and the methods of evangelism change from age to age, if we catch the essence that never changes, then we can provide positive impact on people, society and the world for Christ.

We encourage you to attend this summit on cell churches. Some of the topics in the plenary sessions will be – cell church case studies from around Japan, – discipleship in a cell church, – cell planting, and domestic and world outreach through cells.  There are also special sessions for youth workers and leaders.  Plans are in progress to have some special English-based affinity groups during the Summit on Thu afternoon.  Also there are plans to provide the English interpretation for some of the sessions.  Come, meet, and network with hundreds of people who are developing cell ministries all over Japan and the world.  Participant fee is 19,000 or 18,000 if you register before Dec 31^st.
