The great commission of Matthew 28:19-20 calls us to “make disciples of all nations.” This of course includes Japan and the Japanese. We certainly have great challenges in Japan in our evangelism, but we also have great challenges in “making disciples”, and especially in making “reproducing, gospel centered disciples.” Sharing from the Bible, and from three decades of experience in Japan as a church planter / pastor, and from many mistakes, Dan will also focus on the important Biblical value – and CPI core value- of being gospel centered in all this.
Dan has served in Japan with MTW/JPM for 35 years. He was lead church planter and then pastor for 28 years for Oyumino Church (PCJ), a multisite church in Chiba. He also served as the JPM Tokyo/Chiba Team Leader for 30 years, and as the JPM Mission Leader for 15 years. Dan and Carol have 9 children, and 36 grand children at last count.Location: Convention Hall MA

Anytime we seek to influence the thinking, behavior, or development of others, we are taking on the role of a leader. Why do we lead? What are we thinking? What are we doing? How do we stay on track? What can we learn by taking a closer look at Jesus in each of these areas? Please come and see…
Richard has served in Japan for 4 1/2 years, and taken multiple short-term trips there. He has served in church planting, in Christian higher education (Trinity International University [Illinois, USA] & Christ Bible Seminary [Nagoya, Japan]) and presently serves as Senior Pastor at Lakeside Church of Chicago.
